Sermorelin

▸ Overview

Sermorelin is a synthetic analog of the first 29 amino acids of endogenous GHRH. It stimulates the pituitary to release GH in a pulsatile, physiological manner, respecting the body's natural feedback mechanisms.

▸ Mechanism of action

• An analog of the first 29 amino acids of human endogenous GHRH, the minimal active sequence for binding the GHRH-R receptor.
• Stimulates the pituitary to release GH in a pulsatile way, respecting the hypothalamus–pituitary–IGF-1 axis.
• By respecting the negative-feedback mechanism (somatostatin), it does not suppress endogenous GH production.
• Has a short half-life (~10–20 min), but its effects on GH elevation last several hours.
• Raises IGF-1 more moderately than longer-acting analogs, making it useful for conservative protocols.
• Improves body composition, bone density and sleep quality through the GH/IGF-1 axis.

▸ Administration

• Subcutaneous route: fine needles in the abdomen or thigh.
• Reconstitution: lyophilized powder + bacteriostatic water.
• Storage: refrigerate at 2–8 °C; use within 28 days of reconstitution.

▸ Timing

• Preferably fasted or before sleep, to take advantage of the nocturnal GH pulse.
• Avoid applying after meals rich in fats or carbohydrates that raise insulin.
• Wait 30 minutes post-injection before eating.

• Frequency: generally daily or every other day.
• Cycles: typically 3–6 months, with periodic evaluation.

• Sermorelin + GHRP-2: GHRH/GHRP synergy for greater pulse amplitude.
• Can be combined with Ipamorelin as an alternative to CJC-1295.
